Is it normal to have some positive pressure in the tank? Any knowledge that you can impart is graciously appreciated. I am wondering if anyone here is familiar with this type of breather system and exactly how it works. Seems like it’s just filling the tube and that’s all. I put compressed air into the metal tube but it doesn’t seem to be pushing into the tube. After that I can’t get it to go any further. I am able to push a wire into the metal tube and it is clear to the last sharp bend at the metal ring in the tank. It connects to a metal tube on the bottom of the tank and goes up to a metal ring in the tank similar to what you see in the attached photo (from a 600rr). 8mm The RFX fuel tank vent tube solves these problems by having two. Never had a problem with the simplistic hose, so why try to fix something that isn't broken right? No one likes to ride and have gas spraying all over the place.
